Exploring Faith A Discussion Group with the Reverend Kate Baxter
The Ferguson Hall, Belford
Wednesdays 27th April, May 4th 11th & 18th
7-8.30pm
Everyone is welcome to join the four week discussion group exploring some of the big questions that people often ask about the Christian faith.
The format will be a small informal discussion group mixing lively debate with some quiet time for prayer and reflection. It will be chance to look at some of the questions we ask ourselves as we look at how our faith fits into today’s increasingly secular world and how we can live our lives to the full including:
• What makes us human rather than animal?
• Our relationships with God, Creation and each other.
• What is our image of God? Is this helped or hindered by traditional hymns and prayers?
• How does the Bible help us with this?
• Where do we belong and how do we gain our own identity?
• How can we help create and be part of God’s kingdom?
Kate will lead the discussions in her own lively, original and highly enjoyable style as she says: “I have a curious mind, and I am always full of questions, and from past experience, I know I am not the only one! Come along and find out a bit more, whether or not you go to church, everyone is welcome.”
